First Tryout

These are the materials that I prepared for my first prototype:

- Varnish spray

- Glossy paint ( transparent )

- Printed artwork ( mock up in A4 )

- Scissors

- Cutter Knife

- Poster Colours

- Craft Glue

- Brushes

- Pencil & Pen

- Ruler

- Newspaper

- Cardboard

I drew nine squares on both artwork and cardboard and cut it into pieces.

Then I glued the artwork and cardboard together.

 I painted the sides of the puzzle with white poster colour to cover up the ugliness of the cardboard and waited them to dry.

But after the paint dried out, the holes of the cardboard sides couldn't cover up well, so the result is kinda bad. 

In this part, I have tried two methods of vanishing and glossing for the puzzle.

One side use spray to do the work and another side use the vanish & glossy paint.

So this is my first tryout, here is the result.

RESULT:

1. Need to find a new kind of board to replace the cardboard due to the gap of the sides.

2. Glossy spray is not a good choice due to some stickiness after it's dries out.

3. Craft glue is better than paper glue due to its dry based, but it's not stick as it was aspected.

Presentation Slides

Today I was late for class due to the terrible jam, 

I didn't managed to present my idea to my dear lecturer and classmates,

but I could present it on Friday if I have the chance.

It is because my timetable clashes,

there is another class is also at 8 to 10am,

the time is as same as Personal Boundaries 1.

Anyway, the pictures below are my presentation slides, 

may have some tiny changes but the idea is still remain the same,

it's just some vocabulary changes, not really a big deal, I guess.

Rough Ideas for Blood Donation Campaign

I have few ideas for my topic that I cannot decide which one is better,
here is some inspirations that I get from internet.

Idea 1: Plastic Bag Design

 The picture above inspired me to design a blood pack of a plastic bag, when someone holding it, will look like he or she is donating blood, kinda look like the rough sketch below.

Idea 2: STOP SIGN Design

The picture above inspired me to design a stop sign broad that encourage people to donate blood, something like "Stop Wasting Blood" or "Stop Blood Shortage" etc, the outcome will be like the rough sketch below.

Idea 3: Feedback Box

Another idea is create a heart shape or "+" shape feedback box, the front will be transparent, other sides will be in bloody red colour. The transparent side will show a slogan like "Donate blood now" or something else like that. The feedback paper will be in red, so when a person drop a feedback, will look like filling up the heart or "+", something like the rough sketch below.

Rough Idea

The topic I decided to do is Blood Donation, the main purpose is to encourage people to donate blood and raise awareness of the importance of blood bank.
